5.18 민주화운동 2번째 문건입니다

The situation in Kwangju has taken a rather grim turn.

광주 상황에 암울한 변화가 일어났다.

 

The moderate citizens committee has lost control of the situation and radicals appear to be in charge.

온건한 시민 위원회는 상황에 대한 조절 능력을 상실했고, 급진주의자들이 책임을 맡게 되었다.

 

Peoples courts have been set up and some executions have taken place.

인민재판이 열리고 몇몇 처형들이 일어났다.

 

Student demonstrators have been largely replaced by unidentified armes radicals who are talking of setting up a revolutionary goverment.

학생 시위자들은 무기를 든 급진주의자들로 대체되었는데 그들은 혁명 정부를 세우는 것을 얘기하고 있었다.

 

Army strongman general Chun Doo Hwan is reported to have concluded that he has been deceived by the radicals within Kwangju and that military action will now be required.

전두환은 이를 보고 받고 급진주의자들에게 속았다고 결론 냈고 이제 군사 행동이 필요하다고 결론을 냈다

제 해석에 틀린부분도 있을거고, 미국문건이 다 옳지는 않겠지만

이 문건대로라면 제주 4.3이나 여순사건처럼 억울하게 희생된 광주시민분들만 불쌍한 사건입니다,,,선악의 구도로 봐선 안될 사건이에요. 

고래싸움에 새우등터진다가 비유에 맞으려나요,,,,

5.18도 얼마 남지않았네요
